EPCOT, an acronym for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, is a theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida. It opened on October 1, 1982, as EPCOT Center, and was the second theme park built at Walt Disney World. EPCOT is dedicated to the celebration of human achievement, particularly in the areas of science, technology, and international culture.

The park is divided into four main areas, or “neighborhoods”: World Showcase, Future World, World Nature, and World Discovery.
